The Contact Mat CM40x30 is an impulse trigger for many different timing occasions. It is possible to measure the jump off or jump on of an athlete on the mat (e.g. you can measure the time between jump off and landing on the mat).Normally the CM40x30 has a closing contact. This means when somebody steps on the mat it will trigger an impulse. If you want to measure the jump off signal, you need an impulse inverter or a timing device with adjustable trigger impulse input (e.g. Timy). The plastic mat with a measurement of 400 x 300 mm (15.74 x 11.81 in) is glued on an aluminium ground plate. The surface is active except t for about 10 mm (0.4 in) inactive margin.
